Galvanizing thousands
donning hard hats
and gas masks
marching arm-and-arm
in solidarity
facing pepper spray
flash bang grenades
and chemical agents
as incumbent leaders
are buoyed by hyperbole and hooey
replete with impunity
calling their opponents,
“ Wackadoodles” in fits of vanity
feeding on fallacious campaigns
as fabulists predict victory
chanting “Up is down!”
from illusory lips
as credulous citizens are “taken in”
while Blind Justice
teeters perilously on a precipice
of “downright fiction” ...
